The 5 mile run is set through the forest next to the K2 Leisure Centre and has a great mix of flat surfaces, inclines and declines and with it being trail there were some great mud stops along the way! The weather was another scorcher but runners were able to take shade under many trees.
It was an intimate group of six Striders turning out today (and they all got in the photo!): Richard Speller, Paul Hurley, Stef Ransley and Laura Carter are on quite a roll of competing at the moment. Our form Club Chair Bryan Taylor enjoyed a recovery run and Pat Cummings enjoyed a chance to stretch her legs. There was a medal finish for everyone including Lucy and Dan Robinson two eldest children setting pb's in their junior race.
Well done to our runners today and thank you to two of the Lancing Eagles for furnishing Stef and Laura with hot beverages and Greek Cypriot food!
Results, rankings and improvements are available on the WSFRL website.
Next date is Sunday 9 October for the Hickstead Gallop - it could be a muddy one!
