The 5 mile route is largely flat with one short lap followed by two larger laps, the section that is not so flat is a cheeky rutted area with some inclines and declines suited to any ability.
Advance Strider entries were a 'mudnificent 7' but the final starter group was a 'divine 9', including one of our newest members, Conor Lutton. In addition to a few regular faces our new Club Chair, Colin Turner, trod the boards. The female contingent wasn't just Stef and Laura (thanks Elaine Sinclair) and Ian Puttock 'fresh' from 38 miles in the Downslink Challenge also enjoyed a gallop.
Well done to our runners today and thank you to our small, but lovely, group of supporters for coming along as well.
Results will be available on the WSFRL website (spot the Strider that was too broken to finish!) and hopefully there will be updated ranking and improvement scores prior to the next event.
The penultimate run in the 2016 league diary is Sunday 30 October for the Steepdown Challenge - perfect training if you're looking to do the Cross Country race at Lancing Manor in November!
